My professional writing spans genres and purposes—from photography to sailing to innovation to walkability—but what every article has in common is, each one covers a subject I believe in.
I specialize in long-form profile writing, of people, projects, products, and places. I particularly enjoy interviewing creative people—photographers, artists, authors, and other creators. I regularly work as a bylined content writer or journalist, ghostwriter, and copywriter. I’m a skilled editor with a sharp eye for grammar and syntax.

Intel Museum 5G Exhibit
What if everything you could imagine… was possible?
I was contracted by Stimulant to create the text necessary to explain 5G technology as part of an interactive exhibit at the Intel Museum in Santa Clara, CA.
My task was to distill the entire history of mobile technology into 12 ~25-word snippets of information that would be understandable, informative, and engaging for K–12 schoolchildren and adults.

Editorial Production & Project Management
One of my first jobs was as a stringer for the Lansing State Journal, and I continued taking pictures with newspapers and regional magazine throughout my university years. As the photo editor and later art director at a handful of magazines in the U.S. and Europe, I was involved in all aspects of photography, including sourcing images, taking pictures, and producing large-scale fashion and editorial spreads.
I now focus mostly on the written aspects of storytelling, but I continue to use my skills in graphic design and photography in a variety of ways to serve my clients, from designing company logos and print advertisements to photographing interiors and events.
