I have over 12 years experience working as a photographer, editor, designer, and production manager at major regional and international magazines and newspapers.
Though drawn to the fast-paced world of editorial photography, I have always loved to take pictures of my friends. My personal work is still largely produced on film; using black and white for portraits or color slide film for mountain and sea shots.
In June 2009, I moved to New Zealand to spend the winter coaching Kiwi ski racers and to fulfill a childhood dream of heliskiing in the Southern Alps. In the spring, I spent a month traveling the north and south islands, tramping in Marlborough Sound and Abel Tasman National Park, sea kayaking, sailing, and working on a small, organic vineyard in Marlborough.
My love of travel, new cultures, foreign languages, and adventure has taken me around Europe and North America since I was 13 years old. I've lived in Paris and Rennes, worked on volunteer projects in Berlin and Belgium, run with the bulls in Pamplona, taught Norwegian in Norway, and skied my way across the Alps and Rocky Mountains.
